Social responsibility
Dalkia places great emphasis on the social aspect of its business. Its corporate social responsibility is reflected in the support for and partnership with many social, cultural, and sporting events for the general public in the cities and regions where Dalkia operates. Dalkia regularly organises various educational events for children and pays attention to the needs of its employees.
Dalkia Česká republika has founded three endowment funds, through which it provides efficient aid towards reducing unemployment, supports its employees, and delivers projects with positive environmental impacts. Dalkia also cooperates with the Veolia Foundation through the MiniGrants project.
Dalkia Česká republika Foundation
The Dalkia Česká republika Foundation, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2010, contributes to reducing the unemployment rate by encouraging the creation of new long-term jobs. It supports both individuals and companies who bring to life projects that generate new lasting jobs. The Foundation focuses its support primarily on the sector of good cause services or production (e.g. household services, infrastructure services, social services, organising leisure time for both children and adults, environmental care, traditional and unorthodox handicrafts, etc.). 937 projects implemented have resulted in 1,611 lasting jobs. Special emphasis is placed on creating jobs for disabled citizens - 239 disabled persons have found their jobs since 2000 thanks to the Foundation’s help. Dalkia Česká republika Foundation works in the Moravia-Silesia, Olomouc, and Karlovy Vary regions.

Dalkia Humain Foundation
Dalkia Humain Foundation was founded in 2005 with a view to helping both the current and former employees and their family members in difficult life situations. It also makes contributions to all employees for each child born or adopted as well as for care for disabled children. Dalkia Humain Foundation receives donations from the companies of Dalkia in the Czech Republic Group and from employees, and then pays grants to the needy.
Dalkia Foundation for the Environment
Dalkia Foundation for the Environment was formed in 2006 for the purpose of contributing to the financing of projects with positive environmental effects delivered on the territory of the Czech Republic. This means primarily projects that help to reduce environmental damage caused by energy generation, provide for the reclamation and clean-up of land affected by energy production, are based on the use of renewable resources for energy generation, etc.

Veolia Foundation and the MiniGrants project
Dalkia in the Czech Republic Group has cooperated with Veolia Foundation, founded by the parent company, Veolia Environnement, since 2010 as part of the MiniGrants project. Every employee who pursues a good cause activity in their spare time (such as leading an activity group for children, helping the disabled, caring for children in an orphanage, cleaning forests of waste, etc.) can obtain a contribution of up to CZK 50,000 for the activity. In its first year, Dalkia allocated more than half a million crowns for the MiniGrants, distributing the amount among 26 projects, and 28 employees enjoyed contributions totalling CZK 700,000 in the second edition.
Dalkia Česká republika has won a number of awards for its corporate social responsibility activities, such as the second place in January 2011 in the Moravia-Silesia Regional Governor’s Corporate Social Responsibility Awards for companies with more than 250 employees and the third place in the Corporate Social Responsibility Poll of the general public.
Since 2000, Dalkia in the Czech Republic has contributed to the emergence of 1,611 new long-term jobs through 937 implemented projects.
