Sustainable development

Dalkia in the Czech Republic Group observes the following priorities in its everyday work, the core of which is the generation and distribution of heat and electricity:

  • Occupational health and safety
  • Provision of quality services to the customers
  • Social responsibility
  

All of these goals are summed up in the Sustainable Development Policy laid down by the management of Dalkia in the Czech Republic, which is binding on all Group companies.

The basic principles of the Dalkia Group’s Sustainable Development Policy in the Czech Republic are:

• Legal compliance
• Ceaseless improvement of all processes within the Integrated
  Management system
• Improving the qualification and motivation of employees
• Communication with employees and all stakeholders.

Since 2003, Dalkia in the Czech Republic has used 446,000 tonnes of biomass for the generation of heat and electricity, replacing 518,000 tonnes of CO2.
This amount of biomass represents the saving of almost 5,600 railway cars of coal.
